LAUGHING BEHIND ENEMY LINES
Writer & Director David C. Jones was commissioned to create a film for the Queer History Project and the result was this heartfelt look at the local performers who were making people laugh at the risk of being arrested or harassed spanning the 1950’s to the 80’s.
Throughout history social change has not just been lead by the lawyers or the radicals or the politicians, there has always been a more subversive battle in almost all cases. That subtle soldier for acceptance – the entertainer.
This short documentary has been screened in various counties including India.
